The Founding:

Cocoon Career Consulting est. 2020 by Cara Silverman, who was looking to help others find their dream jobs in marketing. She has a team of content contributors and graphic designers who are friends, marketing professionals and even former clients!

Cara thought of the idea after speaking on a few career panels. She had been helping others with their career journey as a networking, interviewing, and resume polishing resource for a long time, but wanted to reach a bigger audience. So many people had helped her along the way in her marketing career journey, and she felt it was important to give back. Especially with COVID layoffs and hiring frenzies, she couldn’t think of a better time to launch. Cara does speaking engagements at universities, does private career consulting, and produces free content to guide others in best practices of the marketing career world.

Cara graduated from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, and has worked in PR, advertising, branding, and content creation in 4 continents. She recently moved back to Chicago, her home town, and works in digital marketing. In her free time, she loves to play all racket sports, travel, and experimenting with baking.
